Synopsis: A Skrull prisoner tells Mar-Vell that he is really the ultimate Skrull sleeper agent and offers proof. Vehemently denying the allegations, Captain Marvel contacts the Church of Hala and assists them in their relief efforts in the Sudan. A bomb goes off in the war zone killing the leader of the church, Julia Starr. On orders from Tony Stark, Ms. Marvel takes a pair of quantum bands and sends Captain Marvel into the Negative Zone.

Synopsis: Captain Marvel makes his way back from the Negative Zone with the full knowledge that he is really a Skrull. He decides, however, to deny his heritage and continue as the Kree hero he has believed himself to be. While Iron Man and the world look on in wonder, Mar-Vell causes twenty four hours of global peace. He then roots the Skrull infiltrators out of the Church of Hala and flies off to do more good.

Synopsis: Tony tells Sum that Marvel is a Skrull. Marvel invades AIM but a truck gets away. William breaks off his thing with Carol. Marvel tracks down the missing truck, which is transporting a Super Skrull. Sarah tells Carol about the Bugle printing a picture of Ms. Marvel kissing Wonder Man. Fearing that this is what drove a rift between her and William, she tries to contact him but is unaware that he is already entertaining a woman whom he thinks is Carol Danvers. Ms. Marvel finds William dead. Agent Sum arrives on the scene and tries to arrest her.
