First Line: Sung in the cathedrals, whispered in the shadows...
Synopsis: Darkseid begins a plan to destroy the legends of Earth's superheroes. Creating the monstrous villain Brimstone, he uses it to attack the current Justice League (led by Martian Manhunter), and defeats them. Firestorm absorbs his powers to weaken the monster, but it will return again later to attack once more. Meanwhile, Shazam! fights Macro-Man, and accidentally kills him, causing Billy to revert to normal and swear not to use his powers ever again.
