Synopsis: Corto meets the American Major Jack Tippit in Shanghai and they fly to Manchuria. Duchess Marina Seminova commands an armoured train in Manchuria. The plane is shot down by Seminova's soldiers, and Corto and Jack Tippit are captured and meet Marina Seminova and Major Spatzetov on the train. Meanwhile, along the Siberian border, Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg and his cavalry troops leave the company of General Semenov and the Baikal cossacks.

Synopsis: Marina Seminova, Jack Tippit and Corto visit General Serghey Semenov, chief of the Baikal cossacks and commander of the "Savage Division". Corto leaves for Manchuria and returns to Siberia together with Shanghai Lil, Captain Nino and Rasputin. They get on General Semenov's armoured train that later attacks the train commanded by Duchess Seminova, Corto and Rasputin capture the wagon with the imperial gold, and Marina Seminova dies in the hands of Corto. After a fight with Semenov, Shanghai Lil unhitches the gold wagon that runs off the tracks and into a lake.

Synopsis: Corto, Rasputin and Shanghi Lil are captured by soldiers from the Asian Cavalry Division of Baron Roman von Ungern-Sternberg. They meet with the baron, and later manage to blow-up a very large cannon that belonged to General Semenov. The baron tries to recruit Corto for his plan to conquer Mongolia. Corto, Rasputin and Shanghai Lil leave for Manchuria.

Synopsis: Corto, Rasputin and Shanghai Lil meet the Mongolian General Sukhe Bator in his headquarters. They combine forces to attack General Chang and his armoured train. Chang survives and Corto finds him in Hong Kong, Chang dies after drinking poisoned tea. In April 1920, Corto has a final meeting with Shanghai Lil.
