Discussions of God and the hereafter also abound. Guy uses the artifact to send himself and Power Girl to the rescue, where he reveals that he has his ring power back. As the heroes start working in the fast-food restaurant in Hell, Beatriz notices one of the customers is Ice.

The heroes take Tora with them, knowing that if anyone looks behind to see if she’s still with them, she’ll be lost forever. Guy and Beatriz struggle with this, but Beatriz, in true Orpheus fashion, has to sneak a small look--and Tora vanishes--forever.
