Kharsov announces plans to inseminate Brenda using his own preserved semen, but when Bill visits Brenda in her rooms that night, she quickly deduces he's really Kharsov, who has managed to switch bodies with her husband. She promptly kills Bill's body with a pair of surgical scissors and places herself in a cryogenic sleep alongside Bill's now disembodied brain, to await eventual rescue.
