First Line: Captain Paragon... you are my murderer!
Synopsis: Captain Paragon sees a vision of the Shroud, the super villain that he killed, while Dr. Latimer is experimenting on him trying to get the LSD out of his system. Captain Paragon tries to break free but they manage to sedate him. When Dr. Latimer goes back to his office the Shroud appears to him and twists the story of Captain Paragon rescuing him into one where he humiliates him in the Korean War by stopping the Red Butcher before he could. Dr. Latimer believes his story and asks what the Shroud wants from him. The Shroud tells him to kill Captain Paragon.

First Line: In the observation cell of Latimer's lab...
Synopsis: Captain Paragon wakes up and breaks out of his cell at Latimer Laboratories. Mara arrives and convinces Captain Paragon that the Shroud faked his death so that he could destroy Captain Paragon with the guilt he was feeling. Captain Paragon figures out it is mind control and he breaks the hypnotic hold the Shroud had on them. The Shroud disappears and Captain Paragon and Mara leave before Proxima can find them. Nicola tells her father that the Shroud is gone but the Shroud's cape is seen hanging up behind his door.
