Synopsis:
Dumped by her fiancé because she’s “so gosh-darned feminine,” Pearl becomes a “wild-game hunter,” the "furthest possible thing from femininity!” Pearl raises her niece Janice to follow in her footsteps. Pearl says Janice must “choose between love, marriage, babies and all the slavery and drudgery which go with them—-or—-a career of fame, adventure and independence like mine!” Janice falls in love with archaeologist Harvey, so Pearl takes Janice on a safari to Africa to get her away from him. Pearl is mortally wounded by a tiger; Harvey, on an expedition nearby, saves Janice.
