Synopsis:
The 1947 gang war between the forces of Lips Manlis and “Big Boy” Caprice comes to an uneasy end. The story behind the suspected traitor within the police department is revealed. Tracy gets a new partner, as Pat Patton officially joins the force.

On the final page we see that Pat Patton has officially joined the police force. However, this turn of events is subtilty revealed on page 17 when Patton confronts Pruneface, the murderer of his brother, and threatens to kill him:
TRACY: "I know you could, Pat. But you don't do that. Not anymore." (Referring to his unrestrained manhandling of Itchy in the previous issue.)
There may be a cameo of "Junior Tracy", in whatever form he takes in this continuity, on page 21, panels 2-3.
This arc appears to be wrapped-up, with five issues' worth to be gathered in the Dick Tracy Trade Paperback advertised below. But the lower right corner of the story's final panel says "To Be Continued...".
