Synopsis:
Diner waitress Kitty falls in love with trucker Jay, but begs him to quit his job because her sister and brother-in-law had been killed in a car accident. When Jay accidentally hits Kitty’s orphaned nephew Donny with his truck, Kitty breaks up with him, even though Donny will recover. However, when Kitty later hears Jay’s truck was involved in a wreck, she admits she will always love him. Jay wasn’t driving, and they are happily reunited.
Notes:
There are a number of panels in this story which do not look like Powell art at all, starting with the splash panel. These have been re-drawn from the original version for some reason.
Also, in the new splash panel Jay refers to Kitty as "Marsha."
Synopsis:
Nina is the receptionist at the fancy Miami Beach Hotel Claremont. She falls in love with playboy Hugh and is shocked when Muriel, his fiancée, arrives. Hugh says Nina is the one he loves, but Muriel warns Nina not to be so sure. Eventually, Nina realises the economic and social gulf is too great between her and Hugh, and she breaks up with him.

Marsha thinks boxer Don will be her ticket to prosperity. She convinces him to leave his manager and sign with crooked Steve. Marsha falls in love with Steve and Don finds out. Don rejects Marsha and wins the championship. Marsha is left alone.

Synopsis:
Ginny loves dancer Eric and encourages his ambitions, but when he becomes successful he avoids her and she discovers he’s having an affair with his new partner. Singer Jim professes his love to Ginny but she says she’s not ready for another romance. Eric loses his partner and wants to reconcile with Ginny, but she decides Jim is the new man for her.
