Boltinoff takes over as editor. The Super-Sons share the billing of the strip in these issues: 216, 221-2, 224, 228, 231, 233, 238, making a final appearance in their own feature in 242. Their existence as computer simulations is referred to in Superman Family, The (DC, 1974 series) #192, and their storyline is brought to a conclusion in World's Finest Comics (DC, 1941 series) #263. The wives of Superman and Batman appear in this story, but their identities are not made clear. A pair of stories featuring an unrelated Superman, Jr. and Batman, Jr. appeared before this story in Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #391-392. There was also an unrelated pair of imaginary stories in World's Finest Comics #154 and 157 featuring the "Sons of Superman and Batman." Feature bannered as "Superman and Batman" on splash page.
