"If these don't please Betty nothing will," said Billy Mouse as he surveyed the large bouquet of flowers in his right hand and the box of chocolates in his left.
Billy is jealous of Betty's running the Mighty Mouse Fan Club and wants to gain Betty's affection. He pays a washed-up old boxing cat, Canvasback Cat, to invade a meeting of the club so Billy can show up in the nick of time and become the "hero". Billy learns he should never make a deal with a cat!
