Synopsis:
Anne is fostered by a brother-and-sister couple in West Philadelphia. She makes friends and does well at school, but her impulsivity and over-enthusiasm sometimes cause trouble. Her foster father has a heart attack, and is saved only because Anne finds him and calls 911. When he returns from the hospital, Matthew and Marilla reveal that they had already begun the process of adopting Anne.
