On the cover, the Phantom Stranger's "DC brand logo" is of his face and beckoning hand. Combined with the cover illustration, it looks as if the potential victim is torn between the Phantom Stranger's beckoning hand of the logo, and the more sinister beckoning hand of the cover illustration. Presumed to be unintentional, but effective.
