The world had all but forgotten how Dr. Jonas Mills, brilliant biologist, had invented Mutation - the amazing chemical that could accelerate evolution!
The super-intelligent mutated King Gorilla proclaims himself the sole sovereign of Earth, and sends gorilla ambassadors to the different countries "to accept control of [their] governments". Dr. Mills surrenders himself to the gorilla ambassadors, in the hope of stopping King Gorilla's conquests and returning him to normal gorilla intelligence.

Earth was confident as it watched the approach of the invasion fleet from the planet Pluto!
Jul Van, a peace-loving alien from Pluto, arrives on Earth ahead of a Plutonian invasion force to construct a machine that will repel the invaders. The machine, which can only be triggered by a particular sound that Jul Van refuses to disclose, passes its preliminary tests. Then, Jul Van is found dead, leaving the Earthmen to frantically try to identify the key-sound that will activate the machine. With time running out, scientist Ralph Baxter puts a desperate plan into action.
