On the party line, he overhears a conversation about stealing Riverdale's mascot, so he sets out to alarm everyone. The only transportation available is a horse, so Jughead rides through town shouting to foil the planned mascot robbery. His bottom is so sore afterward that he has to stand up during the victory dinner.
