Vagabonds Heckle and Jeckle come across a posh estate and decide it's the perfect place to spend the summer, if only it had a birdhouse. Watchdog Dimwit (here named "Rover") kicks them out, only strengthening the magpies' resolve to build a birdhouse on the property and move in.

Good Bit: Heckle and Jeckle take Dimwit's doghouse up a tree, to use as their birdhouse. When Dimwit demands his house back, they drop it from the tree right onto Dimwit's head - breaking the house to pieces. A dazed Dimwit rises from the rubble of his busted house:

DIMWIT: "What happened?"
HECKLE: "You were just housebroken, chum!"

Broke and starving, Gandy and Sourpuss take the following job: "Wanted- Couple to do housework, cook and take care of small child. Good pay - meals included". To meet the requirement, Gandy is pressed into becoming the female of the "couple". Junior soon shows them why the job never stays filled for very long.
