The title refers to the castaway story "Swiss Family Robinson" - and that the castaway mice drifted onto their island on a large hunk of Swiss cheese.

Adapted from the Mighty Mouse theatrical animated short of the same name (1947, per IMDB), written by John Foster and directed by Mannie Davis.

A December, 1947 cover date for the original printing of this story indicates that the cartoon and its comic book adaptation might have been concurrent.

The speaking style of the "Keyhole Reporter" character seems to be a take on that of radio gossip commentator Walter Winchell (later narrator on The Untouchables.) Info per Merlin Haas 5-21-2022. Also, the character does not appear in the animated short and is a product of the comic book adaption.
