Synopsis:
Veronica tells Betty her dream of refusing her father's money, marrying Archie, and settling down to a happy life of love and poverty. Betty tells Veronica her dream of becoming a glamorous movie star. Both start to fear that Archie will abandon his poor wife Veronica for rich and famous Betty.
Synopsis:
Veronica is exercising in her gym with weights. Archie makes himself a physical wreck trying to do the same exercises she does. Then Betty steps in and gets him by acting weak and helpless.
Notes:
An example of how Betty's character had not yet become the pure goody-two-shoes she later became: in this story, Veronica is the one who cares about getting in shape, while Betty is the one who argues that it's unfeminine.
Synopsis:
Veronica advises Midge and Betty to fill up a hope chest with the most important things. So Betty kidnaps Archie, ties him up and puts him in the chest.
