Searching for answers on the re-appearance of the Joker for Batman, Deadman finds the Spectre and other mystics in battle. Aquaman and Wonder Woman are rescued by time travelers; Flash and Atom escape the Crime Syndicate; Batman follows the Joker into Hell, where he receives a helping hand; and the remaining JLAers, with Big Barda and Mister Miracle learn that all of the time and space anomalies have their cause in the Limbo-Cell, which is absorbing all the power of existence. Oliver Queen, now in Amazo's body, delivers the device Darkseid had created into the heart of the Limbo-Cell.
