The original version of this story appeared in Tales From the Crypt #25 (August-September, 1951). This version, re-written by Feldstein, was re-drawn by Davis on multiple layers to achieve the 3-D effect for this issue. Fantagraphics restored Davis' artwork from the printed 3-D comic and "translated" it into 2-D, and also meticulously re-created the lettering, all for Volume 4 of the EC Artists' Library "'Tain't the Meat...It's the Humanity" published in March of 2013.
