Say, there goes old Sam with his sea bag! He must be going to take a trip on his boat! Hot ziggtity! I could use a cruise right now!
Bugs tries to get Sam to let him come along on a sea voyage, but Sam forcibly declines. Once aboard his pirate ship, Sam is visited by his Cousin Shiftless, who is even a bigger pest than Bugs. Sam finds Bugs and signs a contract to allow Bugs to be a pest while on board -- all a ruse to keep Shiftless occupied and out of Sam's hair. Needless to say, the plan backfires.

Sam! You? Raiding Fudd's carrot patch, too? But... But you're not a rabbit!
Yosemite Sam is bankrupt, having finally spent all he'd accumulated while pirating. He can't buy food (resorting to stealing carrots from Elmer Fudd's carrot patch) or pay his rent. As an ex-pirate, no one will employ him, and he won't agree to wear any clothing not sea related. A pair of eavesdropping smugglers tell him he can wear a sailor outfit and they will hire him and Bugs as part of a "maritime research" project, which is really a scheme to distract the Coast Guard. Once on the "job", a suspicious Bugs surreptitiously spies on their unusually accommodating employers to learn the truth.

Gosh! I sure would like to be a sailor!
Yosemite Sam decides to go back into the pirating business. He needs a first mate and convinces Bugs to come aboard. Once aboard, Bugs finds out that Sam is going back into pirating. After a failed attempt to board a huge modern cruise ship which all but swamps his old wooden pirate ship, Sam sets his sights on the treasure of a tropical island, looking to take advantage of the natives and their so-called "worthless pearls".
