Synopsis:
John F. Kennedy grows up with severe health problems, a domineering father, and an overshadowing brother. He visits Europe and writes a thesis on Britain's appeasement of Hitler. He performs heroically when his PT boat is sunk, and wins seats in both houses of Congress. He's elected president in 1960, overseeing the bungled Bay of Pigs invasion, and the beginnings of the Vietnam War. But he also drives the U.S. space program, leads superbly through the Cuban Missile Crisis, and eventually joins the fight for civil rights, before being assassinated.
