Synopsis:
To wipe the slate clean, Maggie goes out of her way to tell Gina and Enero that she's not interested in them, not sparing their feelings. When Vicki implores Maggie to tell her exactly what got Gina so upset, Maggie lies and says she's getting married. Later, she wanders into the back of Luigi's bar again and comes across a group of thugs threatening Rena. Also, Esther gets a surprise knock on the door. One guess who.

Synopsis:
Luba finally meets her half-sisters Fritz and Petra in this story setting the stage for Gilbert's post-Palomar stories. Guadalupe's harassment and gaslighting of Jesus results in him getting married aind leaving town without a trace. Gato asks Guadalupe if she wants to marry after she lets him know he's the father of Jimmy.
Notes:
Carlos Valderrama's cameo has him giving personal advice to fellow soccer/futbol star Sergio. Guadalupe's son's name won't be revealed until issue 50.
