Muto, the villain with the super-brain, is back to menace mankind...
Years ago, Joker XIX killed Batman XIX and most of his family. Luckily, Batman's infant son, Bron Wayn E7705, was not present. When the Joker XX began his career, there was no Batman to stop him, so Superman became his arch-enemy. When he became an adult, Bron discovered his family secret at Wayn Manor on the asteroid Baltorr. He became the latest Batman, and vowed to find his family's killer. When Muto teams up with the Joker in 2967, Batman and Superman join forces to stop them.

Future Superman series continues from Action Comics (DC, 1938 series) #339.

The story erroneously refers to Superboy (not Superman) recently trapping Muto in his home dimension.

This story features Batman XX and Joker XX. However, in order for there to have been only twenty generations in 1,000 years, every Batman and Joker would have had a child at the average age of 50.

In this story, exposure to sea water weakens Superman like kryptonite, rather than paralyzing him. Superman moved his Fortress of Solitude from Earth's orbit into the center of the Sun. By the 30th century, the bottle-city of Kandor has been enlarged on another world.
