Mandrake the Magician
Pancho Valdez; Mandrake the Magician; Lothar
Mandrake could not believe that the spirit of a man could return in human form -- even a spirit as fiece and terrible as the feared Pancho Valdez.
Pancho Valdez and his gang terrorized the South until the gang was destroyed in a trap. Using the legend of the Pancho's survival an new terror is presented to the town of Tacko, and is recruiting. The sheriff attempts to take him, and is gunned down so Mandrake tries to hypnotize him into jail, but it doesn't work, and neither does any of Mandrakes other tricks. His tricks do work on Pancho's henchmen though. Ultimately Pancho's bad eyesight and glasses were the reason Mandrake couldn't affect him, and were the cause of his downfall.
