To mark his return to the planet Mongo, the city of Alania honors Flash Gordon with a celebration!
When evidence of Ming's survival is found among lizardmen attackers Flash enlists the aid of Vultan to find him. Slipping into a group of Lizardmen on their way to Ming with the Lady Dnunia, Flash unexpectedly finds and rescues Dale.

Each Night whenever he can, Mandrake the Magician tours the big city... always on the alert for a friendly face... or a trouble one!
Mandrake spots his friend Jerry, the fight promoter and inquires as to why he failed to show up for a dinner date. When Jerry gives the magician the brush-off, Mandrake pursues the matter and discovers that some thugs are trying to get Jerry's fighter to throw a match.
