High on top of the world's highest mountain stands Phantasmo...
After spending 25 years in Tibet learning all the secrets of the Grand High Lamas, Phil Anson returns to America, startling on-lookers. Disappearing in a puff of smoke, he secures clothing, takes up residence in a posh hotel, and pays Whizzer McGee $50 to be his assistant. Soon after, the pair take on foreign spies, who have captured a professor who has invented a machine that can turn salt water into a powerful fuel like gasoline.

The Black Knight [Sir Percy] (a smithy, introduction, origin); King Victor (mention only); Sir Robin; Ruth (Lady-in-Waiting to Lady Allerton); Sir Mordant (villain, a disgraced knight)
After assisting the good King Victor with his broken leg, a young smithy is given a ring by the King...and he has the choice of remaining in England, studying medicine and helping poor villagers in their sufferings, or boarding a ship for distant lands. While residing in an inn's stables, he over-hears Sir Mordant and his men, who plan to kidnap King Victor. He is found out and is thrown to his death, but survives and heads out to warn the King of the plot. Saving the King from Mordant, the smithy is rewarded by the King to become the Black Knight.
