As Bat-Mite argues with Mxyzptlk, the Royal Flush Gang escapes again. Even though the Super Friends no longer have their powers, they are still able to capture the villains. Mxyzptlk demands that Bat-Mite return Superman's powers so that he can go back to pestering him again. Mxyzptlk increases the threat level by summoning multiple threats for Batman to fight.

Batman convinces Bat-Mite to give the Super Friends back their powers. However, Bat-Mite also turns them all into versions of Batman, creating the Bat-Squad. After all the threats are defeated, Bat-Mite tricks Mxyzptlk into returning to the fifth dimension. Suddenly, imp friends of Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman appear, along with one of the Guardians of the Universe. Bat-Mite agrees to turn them back to normal.

Quisp, Mopee, and Shaggy are not named in the story, but along with the silent Guardian of the Universe are referred to as the other Super Friends' "imps". They appear in their traditional (if fairly obscure) forms save for insignia on their clothes associating them with their respective Super Friends. The three characters are mentioned by name in issue #29.
