Johnny is ambushed by a night fighter... The Nazi rival is Wolf Fang. As a boy on the reservation, his father was challenged by Wolf Fang's father, who died in the bout. Wolf Fang swore to carry on the fight... Wolf Fang joined the "enemy's air force" to get revenge. They clash in the air, drop messages and challenges, finally wreck their planes and ditch in the water. Still, Johnny tries to save Wolf Fang, who shoots down a swooping German fighter to keep it away - and is crushed as it falls. "An old 'friend' fired his last shot, on the right side, at last."

Story across 18 pages in three parts of 5.67 pages each.

The last panel reads, "Watch for new blazing sky battles... in future issues of MEN OF WAR", but this is the final issue. Johnny Cloud went on to join The Losers in Our Fighting Forces.

Wolf Fang repeatedly calls our hero "Johnny White Cloud", which means Johnny's last name is "White Cloud" (two words), not just "Cloud."
