The design of The Big H Kid consists of the Harvey Comics logo, with a boy's head, two arms, and two legs - and would be Harvey's analog to the more well-known, and similarly designed, publisher mascot Johnny DC.

Repurposed art of the various characters in the ad with each holding a telephone, except Sgt. Circle with a walkie-talkie and Dick Tracy with his two-way wrist-radio.

As part of the ad, Felix the Cat "talks into the telephone" (as do all cited characters) and speaks of this issue (#80): "I'm cast under a magic spell that lifts me to the skies! But, OUCH! Do I come down with a bang of thrills!"

Unlike many of the Harvey promo pages, no comic book covers are reproduced.

Carrie the cow; Tommy Turtle; Harry Hare; Monty the Mole
A crowd of the barnyard boys were sitting around in a shady grove behind the old red barn.
In a race between Tommy Turtle and Harry Hare, the hare is slowed to a standstill by torrential rain and gale force winds, while the turtle wins the race by ducking the storm and traveling via the underground tunnels of Monty the Mole.

Per the index listing at GCD, this is the first printing of this text story - and its only reprint is in Felix the Cat (Harvey, 1955 Series) #116 (July 1961). Should additional printings be discovered, this note should be updated.

These characters do not appear intended to be the "Tommy Tortoise" and "Moe Hare" duo of the Paramount/Harvey theatrical shorts, but they might as well be.

Oddly, the hare plays fair, while the turtle cheats - and WINS!

Art and coloring simulate a black-and-white television program. Continued from issue #79 and continued in issue #81.

The Blobs' "Floating Saucer", a craft that can travel through space, air, and sea, anticipates the "Flying Sub" from the TV series "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (1964-1968).
