Connection with the Lost in Space television series: "The Prisoners of Space" (1966) was the title of Season 2, Episode 6. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0636236/

Artist Dan Spiegle's signature appears in the story's final panel.

This story contains two dialogue balloon spelling errors:

Page 20, panel 2: Tim Robinson: "The Dreephars are trying to force the hatch from the air DUCK!" [duct]

Page 22, panel 4: June Robinson refers to the alien prisoners as "Dreephers". rather than Dreephars.

An extremely uncharacteristic occurrence in a comic book produced by Western Publishing, which had some of the highest editorial standards of its day. The errors were not caught and rectified for the reprint in Space Family Robinson, Lost in Space on Space Station One (Western, 1974 series) #56 (July 1981).

The article predicts that men will land on the Moon in 1970. They were about half a year off.

Another connection with the Lost in Space television series is the shared prediction of that 1970 occurrence. In the episode "Visit to a Hostile Planet" (1967) Season 3, Episode 2, Professor John Robinson states: "It wasn't until the year 1970 that the United States first landed a man on the Moon."
