Frazetta credit from Greg Theakston's "Frank Frazetta Comic Art Bibliography." Gary Watson originally credited Bob Powell, citing that the cowboy in the lower right corner looks like a Powell pose, but Nick Caputo suggests the resemblance is due to the cover being based on the splash page of "The Terrible Three" which Powell drew.

Not mentioned in the foreword/contents.

True crime story.

Robert Barrett reports that Frank Frazetta denied that he or Al Williamson worked on this story, and that it was the work of Rafael Astarita. (GCD mailing list 5 August 2010.)

The erroneous Williamson-Frazetta credits can also be found in The Al Williamson Reader (Pure Imagination, 2008) and Steve Ringgenberg's Al Williamson biography in The EC Comics Library #3 - 50 Girls 50 And Other Stories (Fantagraphics, 2012 series), though Ringgenberg, alerted to the error by Roger Hill, tried to correct the credits before publication. (Ringgenberg via the GCD Error Tracker.)

Wally Wood appears to have hidden his initials in some inscriptions in the first panel on the last page of the story. It reads "WAWTTSMEP" and the "W"'s are very much like his later signature. Possible the inker's signature is hidden in the rest of the letters. [note added by Peter Croome, December 2008]

The foreword/contents states the source title as Dorothy Lamour Comics #3.
