Uncle Sam; the Republican (a vulture); the Democrat (a small chicken)
Uncle Sam has to leave for a few minutes, so he asks readers to make sure that the Republican doesn't drive the bus. The Republican says that he hates public transportation, but demands to drive the bus anyway. He explains the Southern Strategy and religious extremism, and promises to hurt people with the bus while privatizing anything good for the public. The Democrat asks for a chance to drive the bus, but the Republican fobs him off with a few kernels of corn. Uncle Sam, disappointed that the bus is damaged, says people deserve better, but will only get it if they vote.

Spoofs "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus," by Mo Willems.

Origen and Golan are credited without specification, but Golan's web site says that on an earlier parody they both worked on the text, while he alone did illustrations.
"Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus is the story of a creature putting his own impossible desires above everything and everyone, using all means necessary to achieve an end that is ridiculous and disastrous."
