Scrooge becomes interested in acquiring the world's top status symbol, and when told it is the Candy-Striped Ruby, remembers that he once traded it to the king of a South Seas island. The ducks head for the island in a submarine, followed by a status seeker named Porkman de Lardo, who has hired the Beagle Boys as the crew for his ship.
