Synopsis:
Kirk and Eurydice find themselves imprisoned by Captain Garth on Antos IV. Garth uses his shape-shifting abilities to impersonate Kirk and lead the USS Endeavour to a confrontation with Garth's old ship, the USS Heisenberg, whose crew Garth blames for abandoning him on Antos IV. Sulu and Bones become suspicious that "Kirk" is behaving unusually, while Thalia frees her mother and the real Kirk, who use Eurydice's ship to pursue the Endeavour to stop Captain Garth.

Story title is from the Open Channels feature is this issue, however it is incorrectly referred to as "Whom God Destroys!". This story is an adaptation of the original series episode "Whom Gods Destroy!"
Jiang, now captain of the USS Heisenberg, was shown as the first officer of the Heisenberg under Captain Garth in issue #11. The director of the Federation Asylum on Elba II is not identified by name, but in the original series episode, he was identified as Dr. Donald Cory.
Kirk and Eurydice are shown to have a romantic liaison.
