John Faith! At last, I've found you!
When Speed confronts popular local storekeeper John Faith for stealing from him, Faith is shot dead and Speed wounded. Knowing he will be blamed and lynched, Speed escapes to the local doctor for help. When the Sheriff comes search, Doctor Dolan Gardner hides his patient and begins to help clear his name. Can they discover who else wanted Faith dead in time to save the dying Speed, who needs a hospital to remove the bullet from near his heart.

Captain Doom fails to convince poor farmers that Robbin' Joe Hood is a murdering thief, not a hero helping starving Mexicans and homesteaders. A boy is sent to warn Hood and Doom follows to his hideout beyond Apache Wall. The Sheriff get some homesteaders to believe Hood is a murderer and a posse is sent to save the boy. Hood captures Doom, but the boy sees Hood manipulates his gang to murder each other for a bigger share of the loot. As the posse arrives, Hood is trapped by his own greed and Doom escapes.

He begins to believe he has gone mad in the war. A kindly stranger offers him a safe home to recover, but he can't settle. He encounters a stagecoach being robbed. Shooting the gang members, he discovers that they are coming to kill him in revenge. As the coach takes the bodies back to Greenwood, the town's people admit that they have pretended to not know him to save him from the dangerous gang.
