Disclose Notes: The original version of this story appeared in Vault of Horror #14 (August-September, 1950). This version, re-written by Feldstein, was re-drawn by Elder on multiple layers to achieve the 3-D effect for this issue. Fantagraphics restored Elder's artwork from the printed 3-D comic and "translated" it into 2-D, and also meticulously re-created the lettering for publication in this volume.
