While the new Justice League is training in The Kitchen, a green meteor clips a section of the satellite as it heads for Germany. The League follows, only to find Etrigan in battle with the Die Rakete-Auslese as to who will control the green meteor. Using teamwork, the League takes down the Demon and forces it to change back into its human host, Jason Blood. Noticing a crack in the meteor, Bill and Donna pry it open only to discover an unconscious Jade inside. Meanwhile, at the JSA's headquarters, Sebastian Faust delivers a warning of impending doom as Alan Scott leaks green energy.

Jade tries to explain how she was brought to earth by the Starheart. The same Starheart is responsible for several metas going crazy or being possessed, including Green Lantern and Power Girl. Supergirl arrives at Bill's request and helps Jade take Power Girl down. The Justice Society is following Green Lantern, who is completely possessed by the Starheart and armors himself accordingly.

As the Starheart continues to control magical and elemental metahumans, the Justice League and Justice Society combine forces to stop the renegade metas before they cause further damage. Jade then uses her dad's green lantern to trace a possessed Green Lantern to the dark side of the moon, where he has established a base of operations. Starman travels there only to be attacked by Green Lantern, who rips Starman's jewel out of his chest.

Green Lantern Kyle Rayner arrives outside the Starheart's headquarters on the moon just as Obsidian convinces Jade to unite with him. The Starheart's constructs disappear, but the gathered heroes now face a being with the combined powers of the siblings. Meanwhile, inside, Faust realizes that his group is facing a fake Alan Scott created with Dr. Fate's power. Dr. Mid-Nite separates Nelson from his helm, and recovers Starman's gem. Back on Earth, Mr. Terrific summons Power Girl and Supergirl from their fight with the other Alan Scott, who leaves them to head to the moon to join his children.
