Happy is kidnapped by Mongols and taken to Russia, where his plane is shot down, his captor killed, who leaves a map with his plans behind. The Ray discovers a special Russian division called the Flame Troops who have been trained by The Khan, a descendant of Genghis and Kublai Khan, both of whom had great strength and mystical knowledge. The Khan waylays the Ray long enough to lay siege to Moscow, but, when the Ray recovers, he throws the Khan to his doom from the top of St. Basil's Cathedral.

Wendy is taking a first aid course in school, taught by an Austrian refugee with a "W" scar on his face. He uses the same girl each day to model injuries, bandaging her, but, strangely enough, giving that girl the bandages each day. Tom smells a rat and decides to investigate as the Condor and literally drops into the classroom, feigning injury to get bandaged. The bandages contain secret messages, and the Condor follows the clues to Jaspar Crow himself!

Doll Man steps in to corner the crooks and save Professor Roberts.

Two painters are also in there and Darrel notices something strange about them, so he turns into Doll Man and tracks them. Doll Man is puzzled that the Nazis are so accurate in their bomb runs until he sees the painters painting the tops of building (later bombed) with luminous paint.
