While working on repairing a down power line, a lineman is struck by a sun bolt, then picked up by a Professor Rand, who harnesses the power to make this individual one of the most powerful people on Earth. He names himself Firebrand, then heads out to stop a man named Rimmer from securing vital arms, such as tanks, guns and trucks, in order to capture a sub treasury filled with unimaginable wealth that he plans on taking to South America.
