While researching the origin of gargoyles for a class project, a student travels to a hidden valley in Tibet where he enters a huge stone cavern and meets Gorgolla (a gigantic stone gargoyle). Gorgolla explains that he and his army came to Earth from another world and have waited for centuries to strike and conquer humanity. He sends the signal, but is shocked when the gargoyles (his minions) come to Tibet and destroy him. The gargoyles explain they have become enamored by humanity and want to protect us, not conquer us.
