Synopsis: A scholarly alien with the ability to change size lands on Earth and begins studying animals starting with microscopic beings on up. He is unaware that a colony of ants has stolen his shrunken spaceship thinking it was food and inadvertently damaged the alien's size control. The alien suddenly continues growing and is rapidly reaching his maximum size whereupon he will explode with disastrous results for thousands of humans. Technician Al Crandall is tasked with communicating with the ants to retrieve the size changer and then repair it before the alien detonates.
