Mickey is asked to find Black Pete, who is unaware of a waiting family inheritance. Because Pete must reform for all time to get the money, Mickey is most anxious that he have it.
Synopsis:
Mickey finally catches up with Pete and prevents him from holding up the miner for his gold, thus preserving Pete's inheritance which would be forfeit unless he reforms for at least a year - and stays reformed to continue getting the money in yearly installments. Once the situation is explained to him, Pete kinda-sorta tries his hand at honest work, but can he walk the straight-and-narrow for the next 366 days? (1960 was a leap year!)
