Synopsis: When Jérôme's father asks how much money she wants to stop seeing his son, Dominique is indignant. She is fired by Scarden, but is even more determined to continue seeing Jérôme. Gérard tells Dominique that he has also been fired by Scarden, but has actually been tasked to win Dominique away from Jérôme. Dominique starts seeing more of Gérard when Jérôme is unavailable. Ultimately, Dominique's mind is made up when Jérôme is unwilling to stand up to his father and Gérard thrashes the two thugs Boss Scarden sends after him to teach him a lesson for backing out of their arrangement.

Synopsis: On the morning of her wedding day, Josiane receives a telegram from her fiance telling her he has met someone else and can't go through with the wedding. When Josiane recovers enough to return to the wedding dress shop where she works, she decides to sell her own wedding dress. When a young bride-to-be expresses that she can't afford the dresses she sees, Josiane arranges to have her wedding dress sold to her at a discount. Only then does Josiane discover the girl is marrying the man who Josiane was planning to marry.

Synopsis: A photographer notices a girl climbing down the side of a house from an upper story window at night. Thinking he would do well to leave, curiosity gets the better of him and he ends up taking the girl out that night. This decision would change both their lives. She is blind and had sneaked out to feed a dog, who is her only friend. Her aunt and uncle only take care of her to receive the money left for her by her parents. When she later runs away with the dog, she ends up back with the photographer. But despite his kind heart, he has a secret too. He is part of a gold-smuggling operation.
