Synopsis: Hélène, a nurse, is in love with Regis, a doctor at the hospital. When a patient is flown in following a car accident in the Sudan, Hélène learns that Lisa may not walk again and her fiance never contacted her after the accident. Hélène prods Regis to use his system to cure Lisa. The cure works, but Regis gets Lisa pregnant and decides to marry her. Hélène wants to get away and is assigned to Taban, an English protectorate in Saudi Arabia. One day a patient with a poor reputation is admitted. Hélène is shocked to learn he is Lisa's old fiance and has tried desperately to find Lisa.

That night she thinks she will never be able to forget the shame, but the next morning she discovers that Pierre has been outside her front door all night and asks her to forgive him.

Synopsis: A chorus girl and part-time magician's assistant leaves the show when the new owner wants to give the show a more erotic spectacle. Struggling to find a job, she sees a sign on a detective's door, looking for a female assistant. The detective has no cases until an attractive blonde becomes a client, claiming one of her family members is attempting to kill her to get the money she is due to inherit. The detective and his new assistant go to Trove Manor to investigate, but it is all a ruse to get them away so part of their bank robber gang can tunnel through to the bank from their office.
