Synopsis: Loki sends the Cobra and Mr. Hyde to kidnap Jane. Thor confronts them but is forced to back down and let them go after they threaten to hurt her. Odin, witnessing the scene, expresses his displeasure at Thor's "weakness" and banishes him from Asgard. Thor explains that his former actions were a result of Loki's trickery. Odin allows Thor to return to Earth where he battles the villains again. He rescues Jane but she is critically ill. Whirling his hammer, Thor creates a vortex around Jane in which time stands still. This will afford him the opportunity to finish his battle with Cobra and Hyde.

Synopsis: Thor battles the Cobra and Mr. Hyde while Jane Foster hovers close to death. Odin's heart begins to soften towards Jane, thanks to the intervention of Balder. Odin, in his infinite wisdom, commands Loki to deliver a message to Hardol, the mystic healer, who lives beyond the molten chasm. Loki has no choice but to obey but is waylaid by Balder and some other gods who, for some reason, distrust him. Balder delivers the message himself. Thor defeats the Cobra and Hyde. Balder finds Hardol, obtains the medicine needed for Jane's recovery and sends it to Thor in the nick of time. Jane will live!
