Mr. Terrific [Terry Sloane]; Chris Carlson; Allegro
It was only a thing of wood and strings to the average eye...
Celebrated violinist Allegro gives a performance at the home of music critic Chris Carlson, who persuades him to lock his valuable Stradivarius vioin in his safe. Later, the safe is blown open and the violin gone. Terry tells Allegro to say that the violin was merely an ordinary one. The following evening Terry appears in Allegro's dressing room as Mr. Terrific, disguises himself as the violinist and performs in his stead, using another Strad. Carlson leaves and is followed, and is confronted by Mr. Terrific, who forces him to lead him to the crooks who stole Allegro's instrument.
