Horns were blowing...
The editor of Fables Publishing Company (the publisher of Weird Science) is concerned that some of the Weird Science stories put together by Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein are coming true. When a group of hostile aliens attack the building, it's revealed that the two (along with the entire staff) are really aliens from Venus who had survived the Martian massacre of their home world and had come to Earth.

The staff fool the Martians into thinking they have been killed by using robot doubles of themselves.

Tongue in cheek story in response to how some of the stories published in the series did seem to coincidentally occur in real life after publication.

George Hill lay on the blue velvet cot in the waiting room of Marionettes, Inc.
Deeply hurt that his wife was in love with another man, George decides to do something that was considered illegal: he paid $10,000 to re-enact his life with a stringless marionette version of Katherine, then murder her as an act of revenge. However murdering a marionette is akin to murdering a real human and he is sentenced to death even though his real wife is very much alive.
