Synopsis:
Little Quacker has a bad case of the "cry-cups" (like hiccups, but with crying), leading to Jerry getting an equally bad case of the hiccups. They both seek a bad scare to shock them out of their respective conditions and turn to Tom for a good, scary chase. But Tom's feeling too lazy to chase anyone, so the mouse and duck force the issue, to Tom's great suspicion and fright.

Notes:
The feature and character, called "The Downhearted Duckling" for this story would become better known as "Little Quacker". Despite the feature title, Jerry refers to the duck as "Li'l Quacker" in the story.
Tuffy does not appear in this story, making it reminiscent of a classic-era Tom and Jerry theatrical animated short.
