Synopsis: Daffy wants to buy a telescope but is 50 cents short. He tries to sell Yosemite Sam a bunch of junk from the bottom of the lake but that doesn't work. Then he makes a telescope out of a tripod and stove pipe that he finds at the bottom of the lake and tries to charge Yosemite Sam to look at a fake star and moon. When Yosemite Sam figures out he is being cheated he helps Daffy see stars the hard way.

Because Daffy can't speak Elmer loses all of the water from his canteen, loses his flashlight, and almost gets hit by a train when they have to pitch their tent on railroad tracks in the dark.
